I actually think Chloe's fesitval of feathers is fetching on her -- it's adorably froofy on someone her age. Binoche just looks totally Binoche, in a way that I love, and then Stew is wearing Chanel sweatpants, basically, with neutral shoes that are so boring they can't even bring themselves to be a very good neutral. I have no idea, in fairness, what the heck shoes she should wear with this -- but I default to "none," because she should not wear this to do anything but sit on her couch and watch Dynasty on DVD.
And then this crazy-ass thing happened. It is SO KITCHY -- like one part Madeline and one part Annie from "Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile" and then two parts swingers party from 1975 -- but she very nearly pulls it off, and it's not even her FAULT that she doesn't. I blame the pantalunacy. Imagine that with fitted navy trou, or even a pencil skirt.
"Yeah, it's cool, Karl's turning me into a young French hipster. I'm going to roll with it."
These pants are Bieber-bunchingly awkward in parts, but that blazer is so slick and cool on her.
And she's basically a freaking delight. All those photographers are like, "YES. WHY ARE WE NOT IN FRONT OF HER?!?!?!"
Also, how did K.Stew get out of the photocall? She was, I believe, in Cannes already, but maybe I'm mixing up the dates on certain pictures. [Note: I was! She didn't arrive until later because she was on set with her current project.] Also, I read a review somewhere saying she was excellent in the movie, so it's a shame she didn't get to do both events promoting it. These two seemed to have a fine old time, though. But this photo really illustrates the wackitude of the waistline on Chloe's pants, and the fact that I think it's a cream and navy top with trou that are a truer white, and... It's not happening, Mr. Lagerfeld. I don't care how many adorable faces these two make at each other.
