This is... fine. It has some nice embroidery, but it employs that particular matte-putty base shade that makes me think of just dumping out a bottle of Clinique foundation, and the seam across her legs is not necessary nor useful at all. I've noted this before, but it really does feel at times like Carrie -- for as extremely famous as she is -- should be able to get more than stuff that looks like it's knocking off something that somebody knocked off two years ago.

I enjoy the drama of that outfit, though. It's very Country Celine. Perhaps she should apprentice with La Dion.

I guess that kid is a viral yodeler, or something -- yes, that's a thing -- and the dress is something Brad Paisley gave Carrie as a reference to her big fall. Last year, it was just days after the CMAs that Carrie took the scary tumble that injured her face, so Brad was all, "NOT ON MY WATCH," and gave her a bubble-wrap garment. That is both sweet and sort of a strange thing to make light of, although obviously she's fine with it (as I probably would be, if I'd survived something like that and wanted to pin more joy to it).

So here she is wearing the wrap dress. I hear they look flattering on everyone. So forgiving.

I believe THAT is what she wore under the wrap dress. I like the feather detailing.

That is unimpeachably lovely, but her hair looks like they ran out of time to finish it backstage.

I cannot imagine wanting to be zipped into that at 43 months pregnant. I think I like it better than her red-carpet dress, though.

She sang "Love Wins" in this hella dramatic scarf-cape gown, which I find so much more interesting and commanding than all the usual teeny tiny glittery minidresses she would do during her non-pregnant times.

The lights and her scarf/stole thing playing off each other probably looked very cool from the audience.

She finished with a vintage Taylor Swift heart, as did everyone on-stage with her. I think she got a standing ovation. This wasn't the tribute to the Borderline victims -- Garth Brooks did that -- but I would imagine this struck an emotional chord there as well.

That's basically a dress over another dress. She DOES have some Baby Celine characteristics budding in her. Let's NURTURE THEM.

But Brad Paisley may have been the most Carrie Underwood of all, by virtue of wearing the most Carrie Underwoods: that is her face all over his jacket. Someone tell me: Is 90 percent of this show just Carrie Underwood pretending she's perturbed by Brad Paisley's antics?
