I don't know what's actually happening here, but I decided that William's applause is totally sarcastic. "Slow clap, Harry. Slow bloody clap."
There HAD been a rumor that Kate was going to pop up at this event today (it was a two-day shebang), but she did not. I assume she was like, "meh. I'd have to brush my hair. And I have like six episodes of Orphan Black on the DVR. Bring home something decent for dinner. Don't either of you fall off your horse."
However, Helen Mirren DID pop by. She looks charming and she's QUITE interested in whatever's in that box. (I assume it's the severed fingers of the captain of the losing team. That IS how polo works, right?)
"Be honest, Harry. Does this helmet make my head look too small?"
(a) I've never been to a polo match and it looks fun.
b)How is it possible that people aren't getting cracked on the head at every opportunity? It's riding around WHACKING THINGS.
When there are about a kajillion photographers chronicling your every move, it's imperative to stick the landing.
Gosh, what a hideous backdrop. What a heinous vista. How do these people live.
"LOOK! It's GRAN!"
"No, Harry. That's still Helen Mirren."
"Close enough."
