Cate Blanchett received a Style Icon award last night from *InStyle*, and in her speech, she challenged a repugnant thesis that -- in the wake of the Weinstein accusations (or confirmations) -- people as varied as Donna Karan and Mayim Bialik have posited, either verbally or in writing. And Cate shot it down with refreshing bluntness: "[We all like to look sexy but it doesn’t mean we want to f\*ck you](https://twitter.com/Booth/status/922686390915289088?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)." Whether or not you are someone who has ever wanted to look sexy, the universal truth is that an outfit is not consent. Period.
