The Breakthrough Prize honors and gives further grants to super smart scientists doing cool, essential shit (YAY), and is also probably co-sponsor Mark Zuckerberg's attempt to karmically balance all the rotten things he's unleashed upon the world (including, ironically, aligning himself with the most profoundly anti-science administration in our history). I can't tell how many actual prize recipients attended -- it seems to be not many? -- and in one category, that involved 13,000 people working at a specific place, so... for the purpose of honoring them, [here is the official press release that tells you about the winners and the excellent things they're doing,](https://breakthroughprize.org/News/91?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) and I'll keep this post to the celebrities who wanted to bust out the sartorial jazz hands in honor of that. We saw Gwyneth already today, but she was just the tip of a very expensive iceberg.
