There are aspects of this that sort of work, but these are two tiny girls who look even tinier when they get their hemlines wrong. Mary-Kate looks like she's wearing a jacket tailored for, like, Uma Thurman -- and designed for a woman who is in her seventies -- and Ashley looks like she grabbed hers off the rack of a bridal store and skimped on the alterations because, you know, the economy.

Shouldn't there be a rule that you should never carry a purse that's the same length as your torso? Having said that, MK does at least look really healthy in a way that makes me happy, even if she's gone Heigl with the peroxide.

I do love the rumor about Timberlake and Ashley, though. Somehow that really pleases me. Because Ashley Olsen doesn't need to date up; everyone already knows who she is, and unlike a lot of celebs who act churlish about the paps and yet seem to court their attention, she actually does appear bothered by the fact that she can't go anywhere without someone taking a picture of her giant coats. So if she's getting frisky with a superfamous dude, it's probably just because she feels like it, and not because she's looking to get anything else out of the deal. And for JT, it's the same. I would sort of love it if they started dating for real and he brought out a fun-loving Olsen side that we don't get to see on account of all the glaring at photographers. Come on, JT! Make it work. Bring it on down to Olsenville.

Of course, Justin was very busy the night before doing an intro with Mila about how they're just platonic friends, so he can grab her boobs comfortably without it being awkward. This is MAYBE the part where, if I were Ashley Olsen, I'd have done the Bye Bye Bye dance at my TV and then played every Backstreet Boys song I could buy on iTunes.

And then this is where I'd have maybe started a vicious rumor that JT is the one who leaked the Blake Lively nude pics. Hollywood IS glorified high school, after all.

So the real winner here is Mila. Because she doesn't have to care what the consequences of any of this are; she just gets to look awesome while palming Justin's timbersnake and having him massage her boobs. That skirt is delicious. Even Ashley Olsen probably has to admit that.

Ashley seemed unusually cheerless on this night in her stumpifying dress, which MAY be attributable to what her supposed fling was up to the night before in California. AND with a girl who knows how to dress for her height.
