I don't know who the dude is, but I am GUESSING it's Shane Baum, of Leisure Society, which chipped in the sunglasses. For some reason they actually gave the outfit whatever charm it has. In a sense she IS masquerading with the guy in shades, which Corey Hart warned us against, but she's getting away with it.
It just makes me laugh -- in a good way -- that she wore them on the formal red carpet also. Obviously it's because they're a part of the event, but with the outfit they make it look like she's trying to hide pinkeye or something. I wish that were TRUE. I wish there were a Celebrity Pinkeye Foundation that she and Bob Costas could chair. They would be a DUO.
Here is a better look at the different elements of the dress: tube top, skirt, flapper-fringe. I think that horizontal fringe on the bottom of the skirt might have been nice, and every single other part of the dress is conspiring to overthrow it. It's Game of Thrones up in there.
Usually I don't really like skirts that have the sumo strip down the middle, but she's actually pulling this off insanely well.
Shh. She's in disguise as a Victoria's Secret bag.
She is ALSO selling the hell out of THIS, which is SO ABS-Y and yet she looks really kind of fantastic in it. She is quickly becoming someone who can sell me on something questionable just because she's giving it an innate panache.
She is never going to sell me on shoes with their own tutus.
That's cute enough. Maybe a better fit for Taylor Swift, though. Someone young enough to still be into message-wear.
I both love that blouse, and appreciate that she's into cute eyewear. I need a wider collection of eyewear because I need it to hide a few sins. Like how crabby my Resting Work Face is.
