It seems Virginie Viard used elements of Hollywood in the Chanel show set, and [said she designed the collection with the celebs in mind](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2021-ready-to-wear/chanel?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) who wander around L.A. feeling the need to be photo-ready. I don't generally see many of those people deploying Chanel for that purpose, but this collection does feel a touch more casual at times -- and perhaps that's every line's true hat-tip to Covid: Without events, the sidewalk IS your red carpet.
