That overlay is really smart -- it evokes the fashion excesses of the period of this movie. But it doesn't stand out quite enough against the minty color of the suit, I don't think, and the baggier pants do make the whole thing feel more overwhelming than it should. ## Samara Weaving ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890bl-1681696354.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890bl) Samara Weaving 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 She plays Marie-Josephine, a married French aristo who gets entangled with Bologne. It is hard for me to muster up a feeling about this outfit. She's like the Poop Emoji's glam stepmother. Her makeup is great? ## Lucy Boynton ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890bx-1681696366.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890bx) Lucy Boynton 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 Lucy plays Marie Antoinette, and this is a mess of strings and ruffles. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890cz-1681696340.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890cz) Lucy Boynton 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 Also: She's still doing a version of her signature spider-lashes, now adorned with metal. From a distance I honestly thought it was eyeliner applied by a child; I had to zoom in to see the detail. ## Minnie Driver ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890dn-1681696291.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890dn) Minnie Driver 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 This is divine -- chic and beautifully styled. ## Ronk Adékolujo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13873094da-1681696280.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Todd Williamson/JanuaryImages/Shutterstock (13873094da) Ronk Adékolujo at the Searchlight Pictures' "Chevalier" Los Angeles premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on Sun, April 16, 2023\. Searchlight Pictures' 'Chevalier' Premiere, Los Angeles, CA, USA - 16 Apr 2023 I think the top half of this is cute, and find myself wishing the bottom were red again. Or a skirt instead of pants? Maybe both? It needs a few tweaks to look less like Osh Kosh for Adults. ## Stefani Robinson ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890by-1681696314.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890by) Stefani Robinson 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 I like both of these materials, but their arranged marriage hurts. ## April Reign ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890cf-1681696325.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890cf) April Reign 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 This is EXCELLENT. The yellow purse is the PERFECT accent. Love. ## Sophia McDowell ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890as-1681696386.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890as) Sophia McDowell 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 SUCH a pretty frock. It could maybe do with a touch more jewelry, but it's dreamy. ## Lamorne Morris ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890ad-1681696396.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/Shutterstock (13869890ad) Lamorne Morris 'Chevalier' film premiere, Los Angeles, California, USA - 16 Apr 2023 He is making casual look dressy. I can't figure out why she was there -- I had hoped we'd find out she scored the whole thing, somehow, but it doesn't seem so. She might just be a sucker for a fiddle battle. [This Chevalier Movie Could Be InterestingThere's a fiddle-off with Mozart involved?!?![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2023/04/shutterstock_editorial_13869890ef-1681696302.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/this-chevalier-movie-could-be-interesting-04-2023/)
