Claire Foy stars in Danny Boyle's *Ink*, an adaptation of a play about Rupert Murdoch, Larry Lamb, and the rise of *The Sun* in 1969\. Apparently James Graham's play is a two-hander, but the movie adds Claire as a reporter who is "an amalgam of various female reporters who worked on Fleet Street at the time" and also Lamb's mistress, which made me wince, because of course she is, we surely cannot have a movie about this in which a female reporter is not also sleeping with one of the editors. *Sigh*. I hope it's very good and that her reporter character is at least smarter than all of them.

The dress, by Bottega Veneta, leaves a bit to be desired. This all would've looked better if the dress were black, and maybe if it were, we wouldn't notice that it also seems rather baggy and underwhelmingly sewn. The gloves are the wrong shade -- not a different enough red to feel like a statement. And then she went and put these on:

I have to assume this is some kind of sponsorship. The Venice Film Festival Brought To You By Oakley: Sunglasses For When You Want To Look Like You're Either a Robot, Or Skiing.

Oh dear. Well, I guess it's apt: She's in a movie about a newspaper, looking like an overgrown newsie.
