I wrote this WHOLE LONG THING wondering what would happen if Blake were contractually obligated to wear something other than jeans on a red carpet and the system ATE IT, so I guess now we know that the universe shall not allow it.

I am not generally a huge fan of this color -- it's hard to pull off -- but I think she looks smashing in this.

This, from what I could tell, she wore to see "All About that Bass" with Meghan Trainor, and it is both very apt for the vibe of that song, and ridiculously cute in a costume-y way. (I must admit that I am the only person alive who doesn't care for that song, but I like a twirly skirt all right.)

Something about her flat-ironed hair, plus her slip dress, makes this feel like Miranda Lambert's Salute to 1999\. She's wearing it well, but I think she forgot her velvet choker.
