Okay, I know I handed best dressed preemptively to Connie "Rayna 'Tami Taylor' Jaymes" Britton, but I do actually love this. The combo of over-the-knee boots and a cowboy style isn't working for me here, though. Am I crazy to wish she'd just found better ACTUAL cowboy boots?

He was being honored here -- he had a huge stroke in 2013 and spent three years without his singing voice, if I'm remembering correctly. He rehabbed it and then released a song again in 2020, I believe? He's had a very up and down personal journey but it must feel gratifying to have his work honored when he wasn't sure he'd ever sing again.
