It must be weird to be called upon to announce award nominations that you are almost guaranteed NOT to be among -- which is no knock on Sophia; I just don't think the Chicago [Insert Profession Here] shows are awards bait. Anyway, my point being, it's probably sort of humbling and weird to be asked to get up early and read off a bunch of other people's names. Which is why I suspect Sophia Bush -- here looking very professional and cute -- was inner-monologuing VERY ENTHUSIASTICALLY about in fact this turned out to be THE BEST DAY EVER because she gets to drink of the fountain of Common.

I hear that when you make Common laugh, you add five years to your life, and a puppy is born.
JoBeth and Jason

JoBeth Williams and Jason George are all, "WE could make Common laugh. IF ONLY YOU WOULD LET US."
Common!

And then Common assumed his Patient Sensitive Listening Face, which is what we'd see when we have a financial crisis or a strange pain in our knee or just can't decide whether Nocturnal Animals was good or not. He'd listen because he cares, and then he'd say exactly the right thing, and then his cheekbones would sparkle.

And then the heavens wept tears of magick upon his delicious face.
Andrea Zuckerman For The Win

And then, at long last, Andrea Zuckerman got the guy. (Gabrielle Carteris is the SAG/AFTRA president, which is why she's there. Because of COURSE Andrea is president of the union.)

I just wanted to end on this really cute shot of Brooke Davis looking DELIGHTED to meet Andrea Zuckerman. I assume Sophia and Gabrielle are trading stories about Paul Johansson, who starred on BOTH their shows (as Evil John Sears, and Evil Dan Scott Whose Transplant Heart Was Eaten By A Dog), and my god I want to be a fly on that wall.
