I really like this; it's so tactile and glamourous. I'm ALWAYS going to be excited about an off-the-shoulder fringe valance on a lady; it's got real potential for DRAMATIC entrances and exits.

I just thought this was a good shot; we so rarely get to see the facade of the Chinese theatre at these things, even though they have premiere there all the time. (It is amazing and HUGE inside; see a movie there if you're in town.) Here, of course, I'm sure it was chosen as a location very specifically. There were a lot of shots from last night where Constance Wu looked somewhat...serious, I guess, is the best way to interpret it. And I have to think she might have been feeling emotional. This is a big movie, she's the star, and she really fought for this part. American movie studios have never made a romantic-comedy with a primarily Asian cast; this moment has to feel huge for her. I'm sure last night was a whirlwind, but something about this shot at least gives the feeling that she had a moment to take it all in. I can't wait to see this movie. I hope it makes a fortune.

I promised you Henry Golding! I bring you Henry Golding! (And author Kevin Kwan's grand blazer.)

And then Steven Yeun showed up. Speaking of people who are handsome.
