Uh, I guess the color is great? That...is the only nice thing I really have to say, since this looks like it was intended for a person three feet taller than she is.
This is totally unimpeachable and cute, and also helpfully illustrates that some people read "Creative Arts Emmys" and think, "cocktail length, for sure," and other people think, "I, Nikki Reed, may never get to go to an Emmys function again."
I wish the clutch were gold, and SHE wishes she had her sunglasses on, but: good dress, great shoes, fab bracelet, YAY AISHA.
This is silly, but also kind of fun.
SEE? Fun!
I don't know about you, but I might have done different shoes. I kind of dig this dress on her, though. (It's Valentino)
I have a long-standing personal beef with Maria Shriver dating from a time when I was in a service industry job and she was incredibly rude to me, but even I think she looks great in this.
She is lovely, and I suspect this is better in person. It's not BAD, but the detailing seems to be unable to commit to what it really IS.
I just said aloud to my laptop, "this is acceptable." So...there's that.
Honestly, I think this is a hit. Flattering, good color on her. Next time, wear some of the jewels Liz left you in the will, Kate.
You know the woman behind them is going to post this picture on Facebook, captioned, "GET A ROOM, NEW KIDS AND SINGLED OUT."
