First of all, you know how I feel about sunglasses -- namely, that everybody looks better in them. But this dress is also CHARMING. A lot of women are showing up at this event looking sort of....not casual, but less fancy than the Globes, which makes sense, as this is the breather between the Globes and the SAGs (which are SATURDAY, be still my typing fingers). And this really, really works on her.
Is it wrong that I kind of want these two to make a buddy comedy? Meryl looks vaguely French in this. If only she were toting a baguette.
This is great on her. Juliette Lewis has been subtly looking amazing the past few months, and her resurgence as a person I feel like I can take seriously again makes me happy. (Not that looking crazy means I can't take you seriously, just that it was hard back in the day when she primarily went out wearing, like, a tube top that was just about to burst into flames).
Here is the thing: Whoever is dressing Abigail here is dressing her like a women who is older than she actually is. She's too young to look so matronly. And while I love that she usually looks pretty modest, there's plenty of room between modest and matron, and I want someone to help her find it. Free Breslin!
