(He is now off at some unidentified college in the US and apparently has gotten in trouble for telling folks he is a prince, which he technically is not. Can you really blame the prince's step-son for telling people he's a prince too, when he's trying to hook up with them \[I ASSUME\]? \[Or I suppose get out of a speeding ticket or whatnot.\] It seems very much like something that a teenager would do.) ## Crown Prince Haakon and his bride Crown Princess Mette-Marit ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/12/shutterstock_editorial_341606bb-1606941808.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Tim Rooke/Shutterstock (341606bb) CROWN PRINCE HAAKON MAGNUS AND METTE MARIT TJESSEN HOIBY THE ROYAL WEDDING OF CROWN PRINCE HAAKON MAGNUS AND METTE-MARIT TJESSEN HOIBY IN OSLO NORWAY - 25 AUG 2001 I think the simplicity of M-M's dress is extremely appealing, and her dress has accordingly aged very well. It reminds me of Meghan's dress in that sense (although of course there are differences). ## Crown Prince Haakon and his bride Crown Princess Mette-Marit ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/12/GettyImages-157131298-1606941695.jpg) The Wedding Of Crown Prince Haakon Of Norway & Mette-Marit In Oslo. I think it's really pretty, actually. ## The Ring ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/12/shutterstock_editorial_8371688a-1606941909.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Lise Aserud/EPA/Shutterstock (8371688a) Oslo Norway : Norways Crown Prince Haakon and His Fiancee Mette-marit Tjessem Hoiby Hold Hands Revealing the Engagement Ring at a News Conference at Royal Palace Friday 01 December 2000 After the Palace Announced the Formal Engagement of Crown Prince Haakon to His Live-in Girlfriend a Single Mother who Could Become Norways Next Queen Norway- Royals - Dec 2000 This is the first time I've seen Mette-Marit's engagement ring. That AMAZING tiara really helps, but she also looks fab in that gown. ## Princess Alexandra Berleburg ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/12/GettyImages-157131303-1606941706.jpg) Princess Alexandra Berleburg Attends The Wedding Of Crown Prince Haakon Of Norway & Mette-Marit In Oslo. She's a Danish cousin, if I've got my Wiki-reading straight, and she was married to one count here and is now married to a totally different count. Her purse might be whimsical? ## Then Prince Felipe ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/12/GettyImages-1610716-1606941652.jpg) 393697 27: Spain''s Prince Felipe attends the wedding of Norwegian Crown Prince Hakon of Norway and Mette-Marit Tjessem Hoiby August 25, 2001 in Oslo Cathedral, Norway. This very dishy woman is apparently "the girlfriend of Prince Felipe." The internet tells me that at this point in their relationship, they were VERY close to getting engaged (hence her appearance as a date at a major royal wedding), but obviously they did not. She told [Spanish Vanity Fair that she had a terrible time with the press and paparazzi](https://www.revistavanityfair.es/realeza/articulos/el-regreso-de-eva-sannum-de-victima-de-los-paparazzi-y-de-la-zarzuela-a-experta-en-la-privacidad-de-los-famosos/46963?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io): "Being hunted down and watched was extremely devastating for me. I had no privacy and I went absolutely insane." (It all ended up okay; she's married to someone else now.) ## Prince Felipe of Spain and Sofia, Queen of Spain ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/12/GettyImages-1610717-1606941663.jpg) 393697 28: Prince Felipe of Spain and Sofia, Queen of Spain attend the wedding of Norwegian Crown Prince Hakon of Norway and Mette-Marit Tjessem Hoiby August 25, 2001 in Oslo Cathedral, Norway.
