This is an undated photo, but it's in the late 60s I think, based on when it turned up in the search. The caption says she's being interviewed, but for some reason that's in front of a giant photo of Lauren Hutton?!?

You can really see a resemblance between Young Cybill and Christine Taylor. It might not be as pronounced in this shot...

... but this profile is very similar, and in some full-face shots you really get it, too. Also, I love her casually swanning into the Academy Awards in, like, a belted day dress.

Cybill and Peter Bogdanovich were a thing at this point -- he left Polly Platt, his longtime creative partner, for Cybill after The Last Picture Show; they were together until 1978, when her Wikipedia claims she flew home in tears about her life and career, and immediately met the father of her first child. Her dress is very simple and sexy, and his mullet is... mullet-y.

And here, with Tatum O'Neal at the premiere of Paper Moon, which I think was the last movie of Bogdanovich's that did well before a series of flops and eventually his breakup with Shepherd. (Kevin's theory is that Polly Platt was always the secret sauce with P.Bog.) Cybill looks so glam in that coat.

This looks HIDEOUS, both as a movie ("He's dynamite, SHE'S CRAZY HOO BOY IS SHE EVER") and as a poster. That's a terrible likeness of her. And I assume of him?

This is a party at the La Brea Tar Pits, which back then admittedly might have been a weird location for a bash, given that it IS an actual giant tar pit and active dig site in the middle of Los Angeles. I don't know what the facilities were back then; now, they've built a really good museum there. I hope the neck string wasn't her emergency plan for if she slipped and fell in the tar and needed to be pulled out, because that would NOT be effective.

We DID feature this, and I called for a Moonlighting reboot (before remembering Bruce would not be available); remastering and releasing the originals is better. I DO stand by that she'd be great casting as someone's irritating mother on Grey's Anatomy, so if anyone wants to take that idea and run with it, please do.
