I love this. I ADORE it. The skirt is amazing and intricate, and it's the perfect color, and Emma Stone, PLEASE, just for FUN, WEAR A GIANT GOWN TO THE OSCARS. LOOK HOW AWESOME IT CAN BE. And you will probably win and it will be the photograph of your LIFE. DO IT. Let Cynthia be your guide.

She and John Legend did a slow cover of the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows" as the intro and outro to the IN Memoriam segment. Can we pause for a sec to say that THIS is what the Grammys should be? Every year, they should be putting together interesting pairings and having them perform stuff in a way you haven't heard it before. I'm not saying they can't also honor performers by having them do their own stuff, but I feel like it's a celebration of artistry and musicianship to let them mash it up and cross genres and put their spins on things. Then, sell the shit out of those -- or make an album -- on iTunes.
Anyway, I cannot make heads or tails of this dress. It was definitely very STRIKING in the dark, butit appears to be a black gown with... some see-through patches, and some green and then flowers, almost like a garden is growing over her.

I love her for not being boring. But I also love that first dress so much that this can't compare.

And then DISASTER. ICEBERG, RIGHT AHEAD. I would wonder if Monique's children made this dress, but I suspect that would be an insult to their abilities.
