The National Board of Review held their big gala last night, Golden Globes are this Tuesday, we find out who's going to be nominated for a SAG on Wednesday (although weirdly the SAGs did not yet have a TV home yet), Oscar nominations are announced the 24th, and [we already know the Independent Spirit Awards nominations](https://www.filmindependent.org/blog/2023-spirit-awards-film-nominations/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). We are officially in awards season! Danielle Deadwyler did not get nominated for her work in *Till* for the Globes, but [Gold Derby still has her very much in the running for the Oscar](https://www.goldderby.com/charts/combined-graphs/oscars-nominations-2023-predictions/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (although they think it's really going to be a footrace between Cate Blanchett and Michelle Yeoh), and she took home "Breakthrough Performance" at this event, thus I suspect we're going to see a LOT of her over the next few weeks. Which is exciting,[ because her red carpet work is always interesting.](https://www.gofugyourself.com/celebs/danielle-deadwyler?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) Let's see what she put on this weekend.
