I think I would have done gold shoes, but Meryl looks super in this, and it's very much HER and not Miranda Priestley, which is smart.

Meanwhile, Anne looks like her fondest wish for her birthday party was to throw a cocktail party in a river where everyone tried to catch fish by hand.

Another angle. Those boots are made for clomping. She looks ABSURD. Like she's about to push through saloon doors with a bowlegged swagger, slap her hand on the bar to demand a shot, then look for a poker game.

And now, Meryl looks like she's winning an award for medical research she did on the gargantuan parasite that now lives on the OUTSIDE of Anne's stomach.
