Tom Cruise is sweating HARD to promote this thing. We'll see if it works. If it fails, I suspect -- fair or not -- that it'll fall on him more than it does Alejandro González Iñárritu. His last film, [*Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bardo,%5FFalse%5FChronicle%5Fof%5Fa%5FHandful%5Fof%5FTruths?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io#Critical%5Freception), was not widely beloved either but it'll take more than these two to land him in Director Jail, whereas I think Tom Cruise only gets a couple major swings at an Oscar.
