Laurence & Chico is a Canadian line that is relatively new to the game -- about two and a half years old, I think -- and the stuff coming down the runway in New York here is basically Jeremy Scott mixed with the oddest of the couture shows. It's a married couple that also runs a cafe in Vancouver, which is... somehow tied to their kooky aesthetic? Anyway, it's one of those shows that shoots for pageantry over practicality but could be distilled into a single fun piece, and it's a cheerfully bonkers addition to New York Fashion Week.

Oh, and guess who walked the runway, and then apparently offered commentary during the show? Miss J. Alexander. Yeah, I buried the lede on that one.
