Neither Meghan nor Kate have worn Brandon Maxwell (unless it's slipped my mind), but his line this season was positively Duchess bait. Several of these Maxwell looks would work for either woman -- although I obviously think they'd both do up an extra button on this one. (Kate wears more red than Meghan does, for what it's worth.)

This one feels a bit more Meghan-y -- given that she likes a sleek black or navy number.

I think they'd both swap out the belt here for something less like a slinky, but I'd love to see Kate set aside her coatdresses for a dress-dress, and she's tall enough to pull this off.

This would be crisp and spectacular on Meghan. (PLEASE CARRY THE CHAMPS BAG, MEGHAN! Buckingham Palace DOES make its own champagne, even, a bottle of which I've hoarded since they stopped shipping it to the UK, for a special occasion, should a British-y one occur.)

I am not totally sure how this color would look on Kate -- it might well look great -- but the cape-aspect and the pleats both feel like they're in her wheelhouse. Or could be.

Meghan, we know, enjoys a patterned Oscar de la Renta, and she would look lovely in this. (I love her in a fuller skirt.)

Sometimes Kate veers into the slightly mod -- remember when she wore this cute Gucci number? -- and I mostly am just suggesting this coat, but the skirt/blouse combo wouldn't be that unusual for her, either. Perhaps a bit leggy, but she has gone short before and also: Who cares? We all have legs. Let's show 'em off.

Both women like yellow, and really I just want someone to wear this. Actually, maybe we could send it to the Queen!

Heather suggested this for Meghan when we covered Carolina Herrera, and I agree: This would be superb on her.

And this reminds me of Kate's foray into patterns on the trip she and Wills took to India, a very sartorially successful trip she would do well to revisit.

This is obviously for Meghan, the ladysuit lover, and I do not suggest she wear this top with it.

And she might style this one differently, but I can DEFINITELY see Meghan jumping onto the Glen Plaid Suit Wagon.

And this is just floaty and pretty, for either woman.

I'm agigitating for a real embrace of patterns, and I won't apologize for this.

I'd love to see this on Kate.

May I remind you that the erstwhile Kate Middleton is OBSESSED with lace sleeves?

And she loves a nice Cambridge blue.

Look, I don't think either of them would go quite this sexy, but I'm just putting it out in the universe, because this dress is fantastic, and also because it wouldn't be the end of the world if they did.

Here's another nifty blazer for Meghan, who I suspect would pair this with black trousers.

When we covered Ralph Lauren, I suggested this for Gwyneth Paltrow, but I could also see this coat on either duchess.

We know Meghan likes this color, as she wore it to Prince Louis's christening (a dress which was also Ralph Lauren, actually), and this is luxe and fantastic.

Well, a little finagling would have to happen with the neckline, but HELLO, KATE LOVES A COATDRESS.

I can see this on Kate as well.

I don't love the illusion netting, but Meghan would look STUNNING in this.

If she is not, in fact, pregnant, I think Meghan WILL wear this as soon as she can. I would bet money on it.

And the people at Jason Wu might send this over to Kate.

Dear Meghan, enjoy your new (and fantastic) robe-like trench. And let's all reconvene at London Fashion Week!
