Speaking of William, he went to the Wales v. Australia rugby match (he is the patron of the Welsh Rugby Union), and Harry was similarily at the England v. Argentina match, as the patron of the Rugby Union for England. Anyway, I quite like the idea of a velvet coatdress. It's VERY 80s in a way that feels...subtly Dynasty, yet appropriate for an event honoring veterans.

I assume Princess Anne has had this scarf since the 80s. (That is not a dig; it's a good scarf. I really just want to know her secrets from preventing the moths from getting to everything.)

I note this every year, but: Obviously, it's suitable for the queen to wear black to this event, but it's always a surprise to see her in it, as we're so used to her popping out wearing jewel tones and bright colors.

"I'm going to be tremendously annoyed if Andy wants to spend this entire event trying to talk to me about Fergie again. How many times can I tell him that I don't think it's a good idea for her to open her own psychic phoneline?"
