I must admit, I like both of these looks. Meghan's pants are DEFINITELY too long for me -- as you know, the shoe-eating hem is not my jam -- and I wish they had been hemmed (although this is the way Ralph Lauren is selling them, so please take note of my complaint, Ralph Lauren), but other than that, I think they both look very summer-y and crisp. I'm obviously here for Meghan's top (also Ralph Lauren), and I am delighted that Kate's Jenny Packham looks like it has tiny tennis balls on it. I know some people find this too on-the-nose but, shrug. I enjoy.

As it traditional, Meghan and Kate met the ball boys and girls, as well as I think some of the junior players. I have to say, there is A LOT that appeals to me about being a duchess -- no money worries and being able to travel the world among them -- but getting to go to Wimbledon every year is definitely in the top ten.

Here's a better look at Kate's bag, and also the front of Meghan's trousers. I get what Ralph Lauren was going for here -- I might personally have styled this with a full-legged trouser with a waistband and just gone FULL Katharine Hepburn with it? HOWEVER, I am NOT in charge, much to my continued dismay.

I appreciate this helpfully provided PURSE SHOT! (She's carried this one before; it's Altuzzara. It amuses me that Meghan is a big fan of both Altuzzara and Aquazzura. I feel like an enterprising young designer needs to start a line called Arquazzora and see if she likes them, too.) The glasses, IF YOU CARE, are by a brand called Illesteva. I WANT THEM, so it is for the best that they're sold out right now.

One of my favorite things about Wimbledon is seeing what Billie Jean King -- who has raised her own sunglasses game! -- is doing in the background. Kate's ALSO wearing new Ray-Bans, and they are rubber. EVERYONE IN SUNGLASSES!

I also appreciate how they both look like they're ready to LEAP INTO ACTION here, to put a stop to someone's BULLSHIT. (They were probably just wondering if someone was in their seats.)

They certainly seem to get along just fine, though -- which is as I expected! -- and I have to congratulate Meghan for not making a series of agonized sportsfaces when Serena lost. (I've seen pics of Meghan at sporting events before, and she seems to have a fairly good sports pokerface, which, as we know, Kate...generally does not.)

"Hmmmm. You're right. The Queen does secretly love to surf. We might be able to talk her into spending August in Hawaii instead of Scotland. Let's make Harry ask, though. She's irritatingly fond of him."
