It's aluminum-wrapped insanity. Her right leg is brought to you by Jiffy Pop. All of a sudden I want nothing more than for Tyra to star in a new My Fair Lady and she can wear this to the Ascot scene. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-11-1605678268.jpg) She did totally turn her ankles, though, as she walked in this. She also had trouble navigating the stairs, and didn't seem to have considered whether or not she could see. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-7-1605678246.jpg) Reader, it was a delight. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-8-1605678256.jpg) Eventually, like the pro model she is, Tyra figured out her angle so that she could be seen but also still complete the intro while rocking the enormous platter on her head. Tyra suggested she should wear it to the Met Gala. I'm not sure if Tyra has been to the Met, because this is totally NOT a Met outfit unless the theme is Dancing With The Stars. Some weeks, Justina has looked great, and other times there's a real failure of imagination there. The dance was okay -- the judges liked it better than I did, I think. She's so beautiful, and at least the color is awesome, but the dress looked like they just stuck her in a Banana Republic wrap dress. I did like their second dance well enough, but I don't REMEMBER it, which might be why they ended up in the bottom. Then again, they had the misfortune of doing their second dance early on in a string of perfect-10 performances that was a little bananas. ## Britt and Johnny ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-24-1605678319.jpg) Johnny leaned all the way into figure skating outfits for this one, but with more nipple. ## Britt and Johnny ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-45-1605678430-scaled.jpg) These are just so flat. Johnny's is especially terrible. They danced well, and he seemed super upset that they got eliminated, but these costumes feel like an emotional check-out. ## Nelly and Daniella ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-25-1605678331.jpg) Nelly, at this point, seems to feel that his pecs are worth at least two points and so he's delighted to produce them whenever possible. Daniella is giving us a whole lot of pubic bone. ## Nelly and Daniella ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-51-1605678469.jpg) Her outfit is BANANAS. She looks like a mail-order bride. They got a perfect 10 on their last dance, too, but it felt patronizing to me? Like, all the judges seemed happy with his effort but also astonished that he'd done fairly well, in a way that made it a bit obvious that they don't think he can hang with the others. Which, I mean, he probably can't, but he's at least trying. I don't think he had any business staying in place of either of the two that left, though. ## Jenna and Nev ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-28-1605678355.jpg) These two are annoyingly good. I still really don't like Nev -- I know there are Allegations, apparently, but without being able to speak to the details I still just find him sort of insincere and smarmy and slick? He's inarguably talented, though, and she is clearly a star choreographer. These costumes looked much better at a distance, under the lights. ## Jenna and Nev ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-27-1605678343.jpg) Up close, Jenna's bodice with the one plain strap is very meh. But I guess "up close" isn't the priority here. ## Nev and Jenna ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-50-1605678457.jpg) I mean, their second dance... it was contemporary and it was amazing. It was complicated-looking and depended on them both not only hitting marks exactly but being synchronized at times. He is clearly starting from a more advanced point than most of the others, and she has to be thrilled that she can push him harder as a result. Her top is terrible. ## Kaitlyn and Artem ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-37-1605678379.jpg) Fun, and DRAMATIC, but is it weird that I'm bothered by how their costumes don't coordinate AT ALL? Stylistically, okay, but color-wise they are like banging on a pot with a metal ladle. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/11/dwts-2020-semis-52-1605678483.jpg) And this was a dance in honor of her dead friend, which is very sad, and of course the judges loved it -- everyone got 10s in this round -- but I have to say that I find her a bit... rigid? It works for her in some dances, but I don't always get what they judges are seeing.
