Per our photo service: "the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend a reception at IWM London, to help launch the Imperial War Museum Foundation's First World War Galleries: Centenary Campaign. The new First World War galleries are part of IWM's plans to transform IWM London, its flagship branch, in time for the First World War Centenary in 2014." That has nothing to do with her outfit, I just thought it was interesting. I also think this dress is VERY nice and appropriate and perfect for a somewhat solemn exhibit and also nice for work if you're a brainy business woman and also a bit zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

This dude is apparently "the son of Lord and Lady Rothermere." PS, people, I don't know who that is. But he looks sort of good-natured and DanRad-ish and I like to think he's very interested in history and I like history, so way to go, Son of Lord and Lady Rothmere. Also: she pulled her hair back for once. NOW YOU KNOW.

Girlfriend loves those shoes.

Here, she's listening to Wills make a speech about, and I quote, "Scott-Amundsen Centenary Race to the South Pole." That ALSO sounds fascinating. This has been a week of historically interesting events for old Kate. Who looks sort of adorably coy here, and also sort of weirdly more like Pippa than usual. LESS makeup, Kate. Not more. LESS. But I like this color on you, and I like the clutch and the rest of it is very classy and only somewhat zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Confidential to William: you forgot the pattern on your pocket square. Otherwise, carry on, you two crazy kids! Happy anniversary.

[Elegant But Sort of Boringly Played, Kate MiddletonI mean, I love me some Middleton, but can we get a pattern up in here, girl? Or are you saving it all for the Olympics? Or, as we call it at GFY HQ, Awesometime. (We love the Olympics. I bonus love the Summer Olympics because Speedos.)![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2012/04/143437278.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/elegant-but-sort-of-boringly-played-kate-middleton-04-2012/)
