## Elle Fanning in Balmain

Elle is definitely in a black-bottom place right now -- first her Catherine II dress and then the Vivienne Westwood, both in our last slideshow, and now this. It's dramatic and surprising from her. As much as I trust that Elle has her own vision, I did see this and think, "She may have told her stylist she wanted a Zendaya moment," because me that is 100 percent what this is.

Somewhere, Bella Hadid's Schiaparelli lungs are holding this thing's beer. I said in the runway show that these all looked like VERY cold nipple experiences, and I stand by that.

I wonder how heavy this is, and where the load-bearing is happening. Her neck? Because it certainly isn't that tiny, tiny wisp of a gold chain.

[The original runway look is more stompy and punk/glam](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/balmain-ss-2022/infoimaxtree-com-23100?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io); this is more, "I'm in a sexy Cartier campaign."

## Samantha McMillen

Elle was there to present "Fashion Stylist" to Samantha McMillen (which is... more a statement than a compliment; yes, she is a fashion stylist. But that's what InStyle says the category is, which somehow differs from stylist Jason Bolden, who won "Voice of Style"). It's very apt that Elle took a risk on the night her stylist was in the spotlight, and Samantha herself did too. It's a cool dress.

This photo just made me laugh. It's dropping the facade and delivering pure Elle sunny energy.

[And Now, Elle Fanning Is Wearing a Massive Bejeweled Knot On Her ChestAs one does.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2021/11/shutterstock_editorial_12604004bh-1637033584.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/and-now-elle-fanning-is-wearing-a-massive-bejeweled-knot-on-her-chest-11-2021/)
