I don't love her in white. I also typically don't love her when it looks like an artist smashed their palette over her head and her neck got stuck in it. Or like she's dressed as a very lopsided, large daisy.

She also got savaged by a bee. Clearly I'm not the only one who felt a flower vibe.

You can see the texture better here. All that work might've been neat in an intricately woven bodice, rather than a bib.

I downloaded this by accident, but am I upset about it? Not really. He is very, very cute. I will always have warm feelings about him from The Carrie Diaries, I think.

I would've been interested to see Emma in this -- not that I want to take it away from Ariana, who looks dramatic and super. I just always have a cast of the WHAT IFs about Emma's choices with them.

This is inspired by a 1951 Dior, and it's gorgeous. I always admire their scalloped skirts, but this one is the illusion of scallops. It might be nicer if it were more than an illusion, but it's glamorous and interesting nonetheless.

I get a kick out of how dramatic this is. She's giving me Junior SWINTON vibes, or at least, what I always want SWINTON to be (and which she does less and less). Maybe Julia can star in a SWINTON biopic.

Ah, yes, the dress with the expensive buboes. I get why she didn't pair it with a necklace, but somehow her head isn't carrying this alone -- maybe she needed different makeup.

This dress is pretty, and got no help from Angie, who chose the most wan head-styling imaginable.

This is typical Rooney stuff -- it needs a necklace, she needs accessories. And it's not like this is her keeping it chill because she's a plus-one to Joaquin on this night; if it were her movie, she'd still wear this.

The back is lovely, though. The backwards headband... strange. But what a fabric. This didn't represent well from the front at all.

She looks stunning. There are a lot of videos out there of Pedro pointing her out to Emma Stone and taking photos from the sidelines and looking SO proud. I love their relationship.
