# Emma Watson May Be Phoning It In Slightly Now

I could tell this was Oscar de la Renta by the bodice, [which we just saw on Brie Larson](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/oscars-brie-larson-brings-oscar-de-la-renta-back-to-form-02-2017/), and because the detailing is nearly identical to what[ Kiernan Shipka wore yesterday, in a more dramatic (and successful) format](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/kiernan-shipka-rocks-dress-over-pants-03-2017/). But the rest of it feels more like the designers' younger label Monse, in the "crazy ill-fitting and WTF" kind of way. SURELY these pants should not be bagging and [polterwang](https://gofugyourself.com/gfy-glossary?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io#P)ing in the crotch, and because they're doing that, the length seems less trendy than accidental. Worse, I feel like I've seen this basic concept a thousand times before, most of them on Emma, and it pales in comparison even to the [last OdlR she wore on this press tour](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/emma-watsons-beauty-and-the-beast-press-tour-begins-02-2017/).

The OdlR feels like she's picking at scraps left on the table. It's a Disney movie, premiering at the El Capitan, which for those not familiar is *the* Disney theatre in Los Angeles (they often do live-action fun stuff before screenings of the movies, like a laser light show before *The Force Awakens*, for example). I would think that called for ending with a bang, not with an iron-deficient yawn.
