This feels like a hodgepodge, doesn't it? And not the most flattering one. I wanted to love her in this because it's silvery and dramatic, but it just comes off like a craft project. Like Marc hammered out some aluminum cans and glued them to the skirt. The Emmys are not an Unconventional Materials challenge, dude.

Doesn't this also look like armor she slipped on over a bathing suit? I swear I can see the outline of a maillot under there. I wish this were longer, and lined, and not... I mean, I might start off with longer and see how it goes.

The material of the actual dress is prettier up close, but I still don't know how I feel about the other embellishments. The slinky gunmetal might've been lovely enough on its own. Designers, sometimes y'all need to trust your fabrics.

Yeah. It's... bathing suit Dynasty wrap-dress realness. (It ISN'T a wrap dress, but it's kind of cut like one.)
