When we saw this on the runway, we said it felt squarely aimed at the red carpet crowd, but without any special flourishes. Granted, the context was a totally depressing first OdlR show under Peter Copping, but I must admit that I was wrong: with those colors, it does not need any (except a slim necklace, I think). I think the palette here felt really lively and unexpected (I believe the bodice is navy), and I LOVE that Maggie went off-type with a big princess gown when she seems to be more vintage/hipster a lot of the time.

Also, apparently there IS one flourish. I'm not sure this needed the open back AND a long ribbon, but I'm not mad at it.

This is more what I associate with her -- a little bit Old Blouse, a little bit slinky. I can also see her rigging under there, although that probably means it's a good thing she's wearing some. She's giving it her best, but it's simply not great.

AND THEN THIS. That... is one hell of a law firm luau.
