No one, obviously, is going to surpass Will Forte's beard. At one point in season one of "The Last Man On Earth," he shaved it, but I guess it's BACK (I quit watching, albeit not entirely on purpose). I wonder if that was a relief to him, or if he is ITCHY AS HELL under there.

I didn't even see him on camera. I love that he's like, "Forget it. LOSE THE JACKET. I AM NOT GETTING HEATSTROKE TODAY."

I don't watch "Game of Thrones," so I don't know if this was a good win for this season or not. I felt like Mr. Carson and Alan Cumming didn't have that much to do this season, and heard it wasn't a huge season for Dinklage, either, which is why I thought Jonathan Banks might take it (he is just superb). But it's hard to be upset at Peter Dinklage winning anything.

His bit with being photographed with the Emmy was one of the funniest parts of the night. I love a little Gervais in my life (and also enjoy that he was nominated for what by all accounts is a sweet and heartfelt role that's a big shift from "The Office").

I mean, it worked out! Now we have a visual image of him winning an Emmy that can translate to thinking of him as "Emmy-winner Ricky Gervais."

He is great on Veep; he is great on "The Good Wife." So Gary, if you can just be on my TV at all times, that'd be greeeeeat, thanks.

He is not a Gary, but he plays one on TV. (I'm also happy he won -- obviously my heart was with Titus Burgess and Andre Braugher, because they are SO STELLAR, but it's impossible to be sad that either one lost to the brilliant Buster Bluth.)

I love that he's unabashedly a silver fox on his face, and doesn't care who knows it.

Jessica Oyelowo was everyone's favorite Nominee Spouse during awards season, so I thought y'all would like to see that she's still a delight. He's doing good work with that double-breasted suit, too.

I will be honest, Pornstache was my least favorite part of OITNB. I just felt like the character was never as funny as the show thought he was, and that he hijacked it a little bit as a result -- which is actually not an insult to his performance, because he thoroughly committed to the man being odious, so much so that it was hard for me to laugh at him as much as want him to go away. It's a backhanded compliment, but it's in there. Also: no stache anymore, and he seems very cheery.

Okay, this is clearly not from the Emmys. But Seacrest -- unlike every other TV host ever -- actually does not walk the red carpet at these things; he just shows up and does his job and doesn't care about the photo op, which I think is cool (also, he now wears his own make of tux, so he doesn't have to worry as much about getting his free clothes any publicity). But this is what Seacrest looked like the day or so before the Emmys, and he did not shave or otherwise alter himself FOR the Emmys, so... It was just strange to see Seacrest looking a little unkempt.

I can't wait to see him in "Star Wars." In some ways, he's been preparing for the Dark Side ever since his Girls sex scenes. Specifically the ones from the Shiri Appleby arc.

I don't dislike Naomi's two-sided pillowcase as much as I expected to. That might be because I quite LIKE the fabric in the front.

I really wanted to end with this, but alas, we're going in Scruff Order.

I wish he had gotten up mid-show, without warning anyone, and just started yelling in people's faces as if he were on "Billy On The Street."

My problem is: I've seen "The Other Woman" and I've never seen "Game of Thrones," so I think that's affecting his average for me.

These two make a deliciously dapper pair.

Somehow he always looks more like a mold of a person than an actual one. Which sounds REALLY MEAN now that I've typed it out, and I don't even intend for it to come across that way.

Tony Arbuthnot Gillingham! (Let's assume that's his middle.) Could you not shave for your nominated lady companion?

I think maybe the velvet jacker OR the grey tweedy loafers, but not both.

Classic for a reason.

He could be the COOLEST PERSON ON EARTH but he just looks like such a big pile of fromage right here.

This screams Arthur Doolittle trying to get to the church on time, but without the top hat.

His new show, "The Player," looks SO BAD. With "The Blacklist" at least James Spader is charismatic, but from the clips of this, neither he NOR Wesley Snipes NOR the lady have much personality. Methinks Snipes took it to heart that he didn't get "Empire" - he was allegedly their first choice before Taraji cherry-picked Terrence Howard -- and that shoved him straight toward the first script he saw. Anyway. Philip Winchester: I have concerns.

All last season of "Homeland" I was trying to figure out where I knew him, and of course, it turns out he was the boyfriend from "Smash" who had to deliver the RIDICULOUS Bollywood number that I think is where everyone realized that show had no idea what the hell it was doing.

Every year I think, "Wow, I forgot that show existed," and every year I vow to start watching, and then... lather, rinse, repeat. But I'm so glad that he's had a life after Joey, and Joey.

Very dapper. Start your engines, kid! It's almost time.

He looks just like most of these other dudes -- not a bad thing -- and she looks CRAZY. But that's her wont. She has really really unorthodox taste, and I think it's great that she isn't conforming to what's expected of The Plus One and going quietly into the night. Having said that: Whoever designed this clearly was drinking antifreeze at the time.

HIs wife Siri looks lovely -- I wonder if that ever gets confusing when he's actually trying to talk to his phone? -- and I have to give Carson credit for still being around after all these years. He has outlived TRL and, in some senses, MTV itself.

I hate that the nominated performances don't all get clips before they hand out the award, because I think that's the best advertisement for both the shows and the performers themselves. And nowhere was I sadder about that than with Titus Burgess.

Getting it done, Elder Statesman style.

As a bonus, he will investigate any petty crimes that occur during the parties.

I hope he's doing okay. That DUI episode was sad and weird. John, you have so much to live for -- JUST LOOK AT YOURSELF. Keep taking care of that.

A terribly groovy duo.

You think he's happy?

And then Asher made this face. Because he's awesome.

I am totally going to check out his show "The Grinder," with Rob Lowe. I wanted it to be good, because Vain and Fatuous Rob Lowe is my favorite Rob Lowe (and possibly, in current day, the only Rob Lowe that anyone is peddling).

If anyone wants a shave right NOW, Fred can help.

On Twitter, someone started the conversation about whether Keegan-Michael Key is HOT, or handsome. Not that the two are mutually exclusive, or that one is better than the other, but it was an interesting line of thought. I'm going to go with Handsome, I think, which is also my preferred mode. Hot can cool off. Handsome is enduring.
