## Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell

This is honestly really good on her. Simple, basic, elegant, pretty. She's not a TV star and she wasn't nominated, and therefore, this wasn't the time for insane sartorial shenanigans (although those seem to be in the past regardless). Good sense of occasion, Stefani.

## Lady Gaga at the Afterparty

And then she changed into this for the afterparty, which ups the drama by a CONSIDERABLE amount. (I still kind of like it; my god, I love a Psychotic Sleeve.)

## Jessica Lange in J Mendel

In our quarterly Meeting of the Jessicas, Lange is always snapping at Simpson to shut up, and I love her for it. She's wearing these glasses inside the entire time, as well.

## Kathy Bates

For a moment, I thought this skirt was leather and I was like YOU GO KATHY BATES and then I was like WAIT IT'S A HUNDRED DEGREES, BE CAREFUL KATHY BATES and then I realized it wasn't and I had to calm myself down.

## Jamie Lee Curtis

This is GREAT on her.

## Emma Roberts in Jenny Packham

Snore. I like this dress fine, but the color is so boring on her, and in general, I am not sure why I am supposed to be as obsessed with her as I am apparently supposed to be. I quit AHS in the middle of *Coven*, so maybe she's markedly improved, but to me she always seemed like a competent actress in a showy part, rather than a stellar actress in a showy part (like, say, Sarah Paulson). I dunno. She may have also lost me on the red carpet when she credited "what fresh hell is this?" to the pen of Ryan Murphy. Her story is that the aforementioned is one of the "great lines" in *Scream Queens* that the cast is saying to each other all the time, and yes it IS a great line and it's NOT ORIGINAL TO SCREAM QUEENS AND WHY HASN'T ANYONE MENTIONED THAT ON SET? I get that perhaps these actresses should not be expected to be able to ID FAIRLY FAMOUS lines from literature if that is not the background education they've been given, but SIGH. Dorothy Parker, I am here for you. And for further reference, just in case, Ryan Murphy also didn't write any of the following: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn;" "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife;" or "All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." JUST IN CASE.

[Emmy Awards Fugs and Fabs: The Rest of the Cast of American Horror StoryI gave Sarah Paulson her own post, but here's a big round-up of the rest of Ryan Murphy's squad in attendance (with the exception of Angela Bassett, who was a nominee and I THINK was there, but of whom I could find no pictures. Angela, why are you depriving me?!?). With apologies to Lady Gaga for making her just part of a squad. \[Photos: Fame/Flynet, Getty\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2015/09/ffn_rij_emmys_set2_092015_51856306.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/emmy-awards-fugs-and-fabs-the-rest-of-the-cast-of-american-horror-story-09-2015/)
