This is another one that's going to be tough to communicate in still photos, but you know what, in her case the stills are a bit better -- and the stills are what last forever, so Tina will have the last laugh. But: When we first saw this, we were like, "FOXY CLEAV, FEY," and basically applauded. And her bod, which is great, looks awesomely hourglassy in this picture. But...
... something about the seaming kept tricking me into thinking I was seeing the top part of her shapewear, and as she moved around the red carpet, this wrinkled and pulled in weird places and on the whole looked like it was squeezing her silly.
So while we love the color and we love Tina for underlining her inner -- and outer -- bombshell, we just wondered if this cut is EVER going to look as drop-dead divine on her as it did at the Golden Globes, and that one appeared to be fitted a bit better -- or was so glittery that we didn't notice. GLITTER. Just douse yourself in glitter, Tina! That worked for Mariah Carey in Glitter, except for all the SPOILERing at the end, but whatever, SPOILER was never really very SPOILER anyway.
Apparently someone on the CBS live feed asked Will Arnett about his "wife's" getting-ready ritual and he had to be all, "Um, I don't have a significant other anymore, so..." AWKWARD. Somebody do your prep, please. As for Amy's dress... as I said on Twitter last night, it is not nearly as awesome as she is. And while that is a VERY VERY high bar to clear, I do think she could have at least gotten closer to it than those weirdo bird pockets that hit right at the part of the hip where people don't usually want things augmenting them. It WAS at least different, though. It might even have been a blouse and a skirt, I don't know. I applaud her for the attempt, but am bummed out by the execution. I always want ladies I love to stick it to their exes on the red carpet. At least Amy sticks it to everyone always with her cleverness.
And the two of them doing vanity-free crawling and tumbling up the stairs to present the first award... well, that was tremendous. They could basically both wear potato sacks pocked with bullet holes and we'd all be like, "But remember that hilarious thing they did?" Hooray for two ladies who, despite being very good-looking on top of it all, will always be exalted for their brains and who make other people want to be smarter and better.
