It was HOT AS HELL in L.A. Seriously, my car said 103. So I sympathize greatly with the little sweat mark on Angela's chest here, and find it to be a) a miracle that so few others were seen, and b) comforting confirmation that even Angela Bassett is human. She looks otherwise completely foxy in this.

CBV and Angela Bassett
These might ALSO be questionable pants, but what a great red. Courtney's jacket is nice, too. I talked in the Kristen Bell post about how I don't usually get invested in celeb couples, but I'm adding CBV and AB to the list of exceptions. They are just REALLY formidably talented. I also loved how, when he won, he basically shouted at the crowd how awesome Angela is. HE'S RIGHT.

I have gotten really impatient with Ryan Murphy over the years, and I really cannot abide "Scream Queens." But I'll say this for him: He's creating roles for, and championing, a lot of really amazing actresses of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Just look at the rich material he's given Angela, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Connie Britton (season 1 of AHS), Adina Porter, even Jamie Lee Curtis on SQ. I wish more of that stuff was ending up on network TV rather than cable, but that isn't his fault, and I'll take it either way.
