This is custom, and I feel like he poured more joy into it than I've seen in a Prabal gown in a while. It also reminds me of one of those parachutes we used to play with in PE in second grade, where you all hold on to a color and then when they call your color, everyone lifts it up and you run under it to trade places with the other side. Good times. I think I knocked out a tooth that way. A tooth that NEEDED to come out, not one of my main ones.

I would never, ever deny you a twirl.

I would have liked that bedspread as a kid. I think.. there are a lot of reasons I should love this, but I don't, particularly. We've talked before that I like these dresses better when the train feels more organic, rather than just a huge dump of fabric stuck to the back. Also, there's a black band where her boobs are, as if it REALLY REGRETTED not incorporating a proper tube top. I want a do-over on this material. Good thing she has enough to make a second attempt.

I love this. I know the lacy slip-esque top and the belt might be controversial, but honestly, part of why I am on board is how different it feels for Tina. And the fabric is stunning.

Okay, I will see those points about the top. BUT THE FABRIC.

She said Laura Mulleavy showed up at her house with this fabric and she got all giddy. It IS really nifty, and this is headed in the direction of where Rodarte is best -- interesting material cut simply -- but from some angles it photographs, at least, as if it's SUPER tight. I think she looks beautiful, though, overall, although I can't with shoes like that. The tiny skinny point shooting out from under her foot... I assume there is enough shoe under there that her toes aren't scraping the ground.

"Woof," is what I just inexplicably thought to myself. Translated, that means I dislike the bodice enormously -- she looks like a widow's chair -- and wish it were something in the floral pattern.

She's in Barry, which cleaned up with two Emmys despite a lot of people not realizing it was even a thing. And I couldn't be happier for her landing on a critically successful show, because she was Lolly on Hindsight and I adored that, but it died before its time. Having said ALL THAT: Her dress is having a tough time with puberty.

Megan told reporters she bought this online herself. I read one site described this as a "see-through dress," and I want to sit down and gaze deeply into that site's HTML and explain that if sheer were an iceberg this would be a deckchair on a Hawaiian beach. (It came with a slip, for God's sake, and if that link doesn't work, it's Pre-Fall 2018 number 30.) I think she looks super. And in case you're wondering what the price might be, a similar one is on sale for the low low price of $9,000.

Tina is in Queen Sugar, and she's apparently fab in it, and she DOES NOT HALF-ASS this clothing game. These fabrics do not play well together, but somehow the outfit still brings me glee. Maybe it's the residual afterglow of this one.

Jane brought her son, and how ADORABLE is that little moppet? He's a Weasley-in-training along with Amy Poehler's kids. I want to love her whole look, but the belt is wonkus. Intentionally, which somehow makes it worse? Her shoes are also a miserable affair.

She looks, as grandparents say, darling. And that's APT because she's 14 and FINALLY we are letting this girl be a child rather than a fashion plate. Also: This is a random reference, but the way this pattern is rendered makes me think of nothing so much as Frances from the old kids' books -- A Birthday For Frances, Bedtime For Frances, Bread and Jam for Frances, etc. Frances is always in grey pencil and the backgrounds behind her are very pastel. Because of A Bargain for Frances, I always wanted a tea set as a kid.

Yay, Tracey. I knew I could trust you for something funky.

WHY did this dress need to interrupt itself right across her pelvis?

I really love this. It's glorious, and so is she. I wish I were more psyched for her Dirty John show, but I didn't enjoy that whole tale as much as most people did. HOWEVER, I will watch her do anything, so.

One for the road.
