Jessica Biel in Ralph & Russo

This is seriously my favorite thing she's ever worn. When we covered this Ralph & Russo line, I noted that I wanted to get married in it (if I were younger and also if I were getting married), so obviously, I've loved it for a long time. But my heart is true. She looks SUPERB in it -- and it was nice to see her get to speak thoughtfully and at length to Giuliana on the red carpet, without Justin Timberlake interupting her. Methinks someone reads his press. (To good effect!)

Heidi Klum in Zac Posen

This might actually be pink -- or blush, or perhaps bashful -- but we're here now. HELLO, she looks GREAT. I am so accustomed to seeing Heidi Klum show up dressed in, like, a pile of sexy leaves. This is gloriously refreshing!

Claire Foy in Calvin Klein by Appointment

She loves this length. I...do not. But this is...fine. It clearly inspires...ellipsis.

The back is very cool and interesting, but also: This does NOT feel like Calvin Klein to me at all. It feels like vintage something else -- Oscar de la Renta maybe. What is even happening at Calvin Klein, anyway?

Vanessa Kirby in Tom Ford

She is so pretty, but I feel like she is often dressed like her house caught on fire when she was only 72% ready to leave.

Angela Bassett in Azzi & Osta

This is architectural and great on her, but mostly this is about her head. IT LOOKS SO GOOD.

"These heels are uncomfortable. How have you all been DOING THIS the entire time?"

Alison Sudol and David Harbour

They look so happy! (I deeply love David Harbour in Stranger Things, I just want him to have joy in this life.)

Sterling K. Brown and Ryan Michelle Bathe in Melissa Masse

Speaking of happy couples.

Laurie Metcalf and Alex Borstein

Here are two best supporting actress nominees -- Alex won! -- and, wow, Laurie Metcalf really snuck into this thing. I think she skipped the red carpet, surely to avoid having to answer questions about Roseanne and Roseanne, and I cannot blame her for that.  She looks very regal, however.

Cara Buono

Sure! Fine! Whatever!

Kristen Bell in Solace London

This is very crisp and clean. She tends to dress less sparsely than this -- which is not a bad thing! -- and this is a nice change of minimalist pace. Also: It was reported that it was Tom Ford, but it's actually Solace London, and a hell of a lot more reasonable than Tom Ford!

Scarlett Johansson in Balmain

Is this the least matronly thing she's worn in a long time? Yes. Is it possible that I just simply do not like her? For sure.

Penelope Cruz in Chanel

She looks pretty, but to me, this sort of feels like Karl Lagerfeld thought, "Penelope Cruz has had GREAT past success at awards shows wearing feathered gowns. Eh, I'll figure something out."

And other women wearing white. Or cream. Or beige. Just not a color, okay?
