They all look fantastic. Even Giuliana Rancic gave their interview her very best. They gave Jharrel Jerome a standing ovation and he dedicated his win to them, and y'all, I have feelings. THIS IS PROOF.

Niecy was nominated for playing Korey Wise's mother. Christian made this for her, and you can tell in the way it fits her, EXCEPT that I do wish he'd managed a little more security in the bust. She worked it, but she also MENTIONED it, and while she did so in great spirits, I feel like it might not have been on her mind at all if there had been even a smidge less nipple-related peril. (Also you can see on her right boob that the dress is rolling a little and revealing the black lining.) She's selling it all though, especially the head wr, which reminds me of that time Rihanna wore one and similarly shone (but was also super naked). Niecy is in good company.

Marsha played Antron McCray's mother Linda, and was also nominated. The necklace is major; this has to be the biggest spotlight of her career and I think she showed up ready to PLAY.

I had no idea Vera was in this. This is hilariously prim on her -- it almost looks like Sarah Paulson cosplay, to me.

He played young Antron, and I applaud the assertiveness of that jacket.

Entertainment Weeklyreported a quote from him backstage in the winners' circle: Backstage, Jerome talked about how he is the first Afro Latino to win in the category. “It’s about time that we are here,” he told reporters. “Unfortunately I think our strongest stories are stories of pain considering that’s what we’re going through on a daily basis. I think the truth is our pain needs to be told. So if for the next 20 years we’re just painfully telling our stories until we move on, I guess so.”

He was ALSO nominated for playing Kevin Richardson, and he was in good company on this night because a lot of dudes went with blue-ish suits.

Omar! A brown suit! This is such an unusual choice. I might be with it more if the shirt weren't black? Then again a white shirt might have been too stark next to it. I don't know -- that's tricky. The shoes and leather lapel are pretty funky, though.

Aunjanue Ellis arrives for the 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA, 22 September 2019. The Primetime Emmys celebrate excellence in national primetime television broadcasting.
Arrivals - 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, Los Angeles, USA - 22 Sep 2019
And Aunjanue played Yusef's mother, in a dress that really belonged in our Big Big Big slideshow, but for how it slid into this grouping. It seems to be betraying her a little -- the hem is unfolding itself, perhaps? -- but I always think massive sleeves are a kind service at an event that might run long. All kinds of people could snuggle up to those and nod off.
