She is gorgeous. I remain forever confused about why Kerry never looks as good on magazine covers as she does walking the red carpet. She has a great face - and I think the minimal makeup works very well on her here.

I don't dislike this from the front -- in fact, it's the front view that sort of turned me around on this. Do I wish she were wearing a bracelet? OBVIOUSLY.

This is where she loses me. Not even for the cut-outs, but for -- BRACE YOURSELF -- the cape detailing. Something about the way this is draped makes her look, from the side, like she's just tied a long black tablecloth around her chest, and the Illusion of Tube Top isn't my fave. In short: I have notes. What are your thoughts?

[Emmys Fug or Fab Carpet: Kerry Washington in Brandon MaxwellWell, as usual, she looks fantastic from the neck up. As for her dress...we have much to discuss. \[Photos: Fame/Flynet\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2016/09/ffn_rij_emmys2016_set2_091816_52178681.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/emmys-fug-or-fab-carpet-kerry-washington-in-brandon-maxwell-09-2016/)
