If her argument to continue living with her sister and not her mother is sartorial-based, this might help seal it. ## Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano ![Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/sarah-hyland-modern-family-emmys-ffn_emmy_redcarp_er_082514_51512942.xml) Christian acquitted himself well on the Emmys red carpet. I'm happy about that, and I'm VERY happy about this skirt. ## Nolan Gould ![Nolan Gould Emmys](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/nolan-gould-modern-family-emmys-ffn_66themmys_stars1_kmff_082514_51512328.xml) This just FEELS like something my beloved Phil Dunphy's son would wear (I say that not having watched the show in two years, but once you love Phil Dunphy, I'm not sure it ever stops). ## Rico Rodriguez ![Rico Rodriguez](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/rico-rodriguez-modern-family-emmys-ffn_rij_emmys_set3_082514_51512536.xml) I feel like this child must have come out of the womb giving finger guns. ## Ty Burrell ![Ty Burrell](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/ty-burrell-modern-family-emmys-ffn_emmy_redcarp_er_082514_51512984.xml) I love Ty Burrell, and it's hard not to be happy he won even if I was rooting for other performances -- and he had a nice point that the kids on this show aren't ever really treated by the industry as if they work as hard. (My personal argument would be that, even as much as they DO contribute, the adults do the more important heavy lifting.) ANYWAY: Love him and am now waiting for him to do something where he and Stephen Colbert can pretend to be brothers. ## Stephen Colbert ![Stephen Colbert Emmys](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/stephen-colbert-modern-family-emmys-454181794.xml) I mean RIGHT? ## Jesse Tyler Ferguson ![Jesse Tyler Ferguson Emmys 2014](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/jesse-tyler-ferguson-modern-family-emmys-454176738.xml) He and Ed O'Neill and Sofia Vergara are the Susan Luccis of the cast. Which is better then when I thought it was JUST him. He looks dapper, so hopefully he wasn't too bummed out. I was also distracted for a sec by the reflection on his husband's shoes -- I thought they were angry robo mouths for a second. I wish they WERE, now. ## Jesse Tyler Ferguson ![Jesse Tyler Ferguson](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/heidi-klum-modern-family-emmys-454176672.xml) This photo of him helping Zac Posen arrange Heidi's train made me laugh. ## Jesse Tyler Ferguson ![Jesse Tyler Ferguson](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/jesse-tyler-ferguson-modern-family-emmys-454176720.xml) "I did a good job, right? I did! Is it weird if I ask to be a guest judge?" ## Eric Stonestreet ![Eric Stonestreet](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/454181754.xml) I couldn't leave out Cam, even if I have nothing of wit to say. [Emmys Fugs and Fabs: The Rest of Modern FamilyI'm not actually that shocked Modern Family won again for Best Comedy, because of all the nominees, it's the most LIKE a traditional sitcom and the Emmys are nothing if not about voting for what's familiar (I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but when she won for The New Adventures of Old Christine, I think no one was as surprised as she). I am bored of them picking what they know, but I also don't want to them to go off the rails just for the sake of it -- again, nothing against Andy Samberg, but his performance in Brooklyn Nine-Nine wasn't especially Globes-worthy, and YET. So basically: Awards ceremonies are really just excuses to complain, and so, I invite you to join me and anyone else in the comments to vent your spleens about who should've won. Also, outfits. Let's look at those too. \[Photos: Fame/Flynet, Getty\]![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/ariel-winter-modern-family-emmys-ffn_rij_emmys_set4_082514_51512591.xml)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/emmys-fugs-and-fabs-the-rest-of-modern-family-08-2014/)
