As far as I can tell, both of Taraji's dresses are Vera Wang, and this one is both great, and she would have been SO HOT IN IT on the red carpet. That, honestly, may have been the real reason she changed: She WANTED to wear this one, and she also did not want to pass out from the heat.

Taraji changed between the red carpet and presenting an award and I cannot totally figure out why. I decided she got inside the auditorium, looked at herself in the bathroom mirror in her first look and was like, "eh, I'm over this one."
