Barraza/WENN.com This is an ankle/capri-length jumpsuit, I think? With a waist tie? So those are things I don't typically adore. And yet I think she looks fabulous in this, so go figure. Maybe I'm growing. ## Angela Bassett ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050318-1550797469.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Barraza/WENN.com Those shoes look like a torture device. ## KiKi Layne ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/10114656ao-1550797399.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Broadimage/REX/Shutterstock (10114656ao) KiKi Layne 12th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Feb 2019 This is very quilted. She looks adorable, generally -- she is selling this, and in a way I think the OTT styling is what's helping that -- but I can't say I love either of these pieces. It's very 1970s couch. ## Laura Harrier ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/10114719ab-1550797441.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by AFF-USA/REX/Shutterstock (10114719ab) Laura Harrier 12th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Feb 2019 I am not sure I think this was a midriff event, really, either? Not least because it was a lunch. You know what I don't want to look at when I'm eating lunch? My stomach. ## Sherri Shepherd ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050388-1550797545.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Sherri Shepherd Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com Am I crazy or is she only wearing a bra on one side? ## Amandla Stenberg ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050464-1550797586.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills Featuring: Amandla Stenberg Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com She looks great, but someone REALLY needed to shorten those sleeves. ## Billy Porter ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/10114643q-1550797386.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Michael Buckner/Variety/REX/Shutterstock (10114643q) Billy Porter 12th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Feb 2019 He looks like a fabulous diva in this, and I hope there was some kind of hat face-off with... ## Nafessa Williams ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/10114719ap-1550797455.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by AFF-USA/REX/Shutterstock (10114719ap) Nafessa Williams 12th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Feb 2019 ... Nafessa, who showed up doing Janelle Monae meets Eliza Doolittle at Royal Ascot. ## Skai Jackson ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/10114656r-1550797428.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Broadimage/REX/Shutterstock (10114656r) Skai Jackson 12th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Feb 2019 At least she looks warm? This a very fanciful American Girl Doll Goes To A Party situation. ## Eva Marcille ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050440-1550797573.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Eva Marcille Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com Eva the Diva! She's in the Housewives version of what Skai is wearing (and is, indeed, on the Atlanta version of that franchise). ## Regina Hall ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050403-1550797559.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Regina Hall Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com This might have worked for me if the dress had not been open below the sparkly harness. It also seems to be perfectly framing her navel, which... this is DEFINITELY not a navel function, right? ## Yaya ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050658-1550797622.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Featuring: Yaya DaCosta Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com Her dress isn't my favorite, but this whole look would be zinger for me if her hair were not that color. ## Meagan Good ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050329-1550797494.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Meagan Good Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com And I legit barely recognized her. It's clear she is still very committed to sports bra tops. ## Maxine Waters ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/10114656i-1550797414.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Broadimage/REX/Shutterstock (10114656i) Maxine Waters 12th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon, Los Angeles, USA - 21 Feb 2019 I wonder how many people walk up to her in a given day and squeal, "RECLAIM YOUR TIME! I AM RECLAIMING MY TIME!!!!" ## Amber Riley ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050655-1550797609.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Featuring: Amber Riley Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com I mean, you know I very rarely think anything is a visible-bra kind of function. This would have been so groovy with a real shirt. ## Octavia Spencer ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050337-1550797507.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Octavia Spencer Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com That dress looks very American Apparel Basics to me, but the jacket interesting... but since it's kind of the only zing here, I think it ought to be a different color, rather than a clashing grey. How about oxblood? ## Kelly Rowland ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050362-1550797519.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Kelly Rowland Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com That is swingy and swishy and fun, but needs a bracelet or necklace. ## Jenifer Lewis ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/02/wenn36050381-1550797531.jpg) Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon 2019 held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel Featuring: Jennifer Lewis Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 21 Feb 2019 Credit: Adriana M.
