Issa Rae in Off White

I LOVED this. Somehow it manages to be summery AND leather at the same time? It's pleasantly quirky. (And her head looks fantastic.)

Holland Roden in Tadashi Shoji

All this disrupted feather fringe, paired with her mussed hair, kinda makes Holland look like she arrived at the red carpet holding frantically to the lead of a runaway kite.

Shay Mitchell in Roberto Cavalli

This is a lot. She certainly doesn't look bad -- and Cavalli is a good call for an MTV event -- but she might have looked fresher in a mini.

Jordana Brewster in Antonio Berardi

Having said that, I now want a movie where Shay Mitchell and Jordana Brewster play sisters.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Jonathan Simkhai

This is great.

Debby Ryan in Breelayne

This sheer tee makes me imagine a scenario in which Debby and her mom have a huge fight about whether or not that tank top is too bare to be worn in public, and this is their compromise. She looks cute, though. (Fun fact: Did you know that Debby's mother Missy is the Washington Post's reporter on national security and the military? I would listen to her, Debby!)

Jasmine Tookes in Lethicia Bronstein

This is sincerely just extremely formal lingerie. She looks gorgeous, as she is a professional model, but let's not mince words.

Chrissy Metz and Milo Ventimiglia

I guess Chrissy Metz got some push-back on Twitter -- of course -- for wearing this latex dress, but we think she looks great. Her stylist talked to People about creating it, and how Metz tries to avoid wearing black as much as possible because she feels like it's the default color people give to women of her size. Good for her for essentially saying, "Screw THAT," and creating her own fun.

Allison Williams in Galia Lahav

Shiny!

Jasmine Sanders in Balmain

It's not an MTV event without a little Balmain. (I actually think this is cool.) She's friends with the KardashiJenners, so it only goes to follow that she would be charged with keeping the Balmain fires burning.

Yvonne Orji in Dries Van Noten

Is her clutch GREEN VELVET? I am IN. Also: Yvonne -- who you know as Molly on Insecure -- is the recepient of the This Fabric Would Make Amazing Wallpaper! award for this particular slideshow.

Jillian Rose Reed

Dude. I know J Lo. I love J Lo. And you, Jillian Rose Reed, are no J. Lo.

Everyone Else at the MTV Movie and TV Awards

Remember when everyone in Young Hollywood came to this thing?
