The charity works directly with more than 282 primary and secondary schools across England, Scotland and Wales. The Duchess will then visit Alperton Community School to meet the UK’s first winner of the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize, Andria Zafirakou, and find out more about the programmes theschool runs to support both students and teachers with their mental wellbeing. Ms Zafirakou won the global prize in 2018 in recognition of her contribution to the school community.

The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Scouts' headquarters at Gilwell Park on 28th March to learn more about the organisation's new pilot to bring Scouting to younger children. The visit to Gilwell Park will also celebrate the site's 100th anniversary year. 2019 also marks the 100th anniversary of Gilwell Park, a site recognised internationally as the home of Scouting. Located on the edge of Epping Forest, it is a Scout campsite, training and adventure centre, and home to the organisation's UK headquarters. Each year, the Park welcomes thousands of Scouts, schools and youth groups to develop their character skills, including taking the initiative and tenacity employability skills such as leadership, teamwork and problem solving; and practical skills like cooking and first aid. The Duke of Cambridge, Colonel of the Irish Guards, accompanied by The Duchess of Cambridge, will visit the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at the St. Patrick's Day Parade, Cavalry Barracks, Hounslow on Sunday 17th March. 350 soldiers will march onto the Parade Square at Cavalry Barracks led by their mascot, the Irish Wolfhound Domhnall. Her Royal Highness will step forward to present the shamrock to Officers and Warrant Officers, who will in turn issue it along the ranks. The parade will conclude with a march-past where His Royal Highness will take the salute.
This coat is a dream. (It was a custom McQueen and the day she wore it was the day that would have been Alexander McQueen's 50th birthday.)

Owned by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and operated by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), the RRS Sir David Attenborough will enable world-leading research to be carried out in Antarctica and the Arctic over the next 25 to 30 years. Studying these remote regions plays a crucial role in allowing us to understand the changes in our planet's oceans, marine life and climate systems. The ship will be available year-round to the UK's research community. On board, Their Royal Highnesses will meet a team of engineers from Cammell Laird who have been involved in the ship's build, including young apprentices. Founded in Birkenhead in 1828, Cammell Laird specialises in ship building, repair, refit and conversion as well as providing engineering services to the energy sector.

mothers2mothers (m2m) is an African not-for-profit organisation with the vision of a healthy, HIV-free Africa. The organisation trains and employs women living with HIV as frontline health workers across eight African nations. These “Mentor Mothers” work both in health facilities and door-to-door in local communities to deliver health services and education to other women and their families. This peer-based delivery model ensures that services are provided by people from the same community as those they serve, and are rooted in shared realities and experiences. Since it started in 2001, mothers2mothers has created over 10,000 jobs for women living with HIV and reached more than 11 million women and children under two years old. They have achieved virtual elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV for their clients for the last five years in a row, and in 2017, 97% of children in their early childhood development programme achieved all of their developmental milestones at their first birthday.
I am not generally a jumpsuit fan, but I really liked this one on her. (And, of course, the earrings.)

Meghan Duchess of Sussex (Centre) invited a group of South African women leaders including Sophia Williams-De Bruyn, Dr. Mamphela Ramphele, Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng, Lindiwe Mazibuko, Judy Sikuza, Mbali Ntuli, Siviwe Gwarube, Nompendulo Mkatshwa and Sonja De Bruyn Sebotsa, to join her in Cape Town, to better understand the roles they play - and have played - for their country and their communities.

The Duke and Duchess will visit a government-run school in central Islamabad, which educates students between the ages of 4 and 18. Their Royal Highnesses will meet with pupils from kindergarten to sixth form, and hear more about how the students are benefiting from the ‘Teach for Pakistan’ programme, a fast-track teacher training programme modelled on the UK’s successful ‘Teach First’ scheme, which is focused on improving the quality of teaching in schools which serve families from disadvantaged backgrounds.
