I've seen a few clips of this -- one was from before people really knew this was a thing, and one was recent, and it WAS fascinating to see how it changed the whole energy of the performance when she had a larger crowd that actually sort of engaged with it.

Is he a genius, or is he pretentious? I have not seen one of his productions, but it is also possible both of THOSE things are true. This outfit seems to communicate more of the latter. I also forgot he is doing Bill & Ted's Waiting for Godot revival, all of which I assume will be filmed by an actual tree that turns out to be in a different city every night, and the audience will just watch it on ten different screens.
