She looks like she's trying to evoke Peggy Lipton, but through a heavily Vaselined lens.

This was one of my favorite parts of the ad. I of course decided to read it as Soko trying to lull Faye into complacency about the health of their relationship, and Faye feigning interest in her child just to check that box on her day's agenda.

That IS a good dress, though.

I also think she looks nice and dramatic here, but also like she is fretting about the imminent meeting in which she tells her third-born child she is disinheriting him.

This is brilliant to me. Of COURSE she is wearing this to play tennis -- which, by the by, is a sport I feel like Faye Dunaway would only play if she were guaranteed not to have to run. (That's not an insult to Faye; there are just some people you cannot imagine ever exerting themselves, and for me she's one of them.)

READER, I CACKLED.
