This might come down JUST far enough to make it a romper? Or a rompertard? At the time we said she looked like she was wearing the lining of a series of DaVinci Code-themed handbags, and I stand by that. She ALSO put it back on after performing, so she must have loved it, even though the wedgie was real and there was very little protecting her from... whatever is on the seats at this venue. This was just SUCH a shift for her; cool shoes, great head-styling, and she IS pulling that off better than expected, but... not a style I necessarily yearn for her to repeat.

These two are dressed as an homage to Britney and Justin in 2001, and it was and remains the best thing Katy has done with clothes.

Aw, look, its back when Beyonce walked red carpets! The dress looks like it was designed by that evil Spider Man that shoots goo instead of webs, and my eyes keep thinking it's bellbottoms.

Bey in Zuhair Murad

Bey won the Video Vanguard award, and also for "Drunk In Love" and a few other things. The video for "Partition" lost to Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," and "Partition" also lsot Best Choreography to Sia's "Chandelier." And "Drunk In Love" lost Video of the Year to Miley's "Wrecking Ball," which... "Wrecking Ball" is a banger of a song, but it's crazy to me that Bey didn't also take even ONE of those three, at LEAST.

Miley in Alexandre Vauthier

I remember being a little underwhelmed by the styling. The pants work better than they should, but the top is not convincing me that this couldn't just have been a jumpsuit.

Kendall, Kim, Kylie

I think Kim here is in Balmain, and I like it on her. The other two look forgettable. Kylie is like an entirely different human now. Not that you can't recognize her, but you can see she was beautiful without all the fillers she added later.

Kesha in Johanna Johnson

Kesha had been in treatment this year for bulimia, and was here two months shy of filing that lawsuit against Dr. Luke. She had also just dropped the dollar sign in her name. She looks happy and optimistic here, which is bittersweet because that lawsuit really dredged up a lot for her. I am always rooting for her.

Demi Lovato in Lanvin

Jazzy shoes! This dress always struck me as looking like the neckline had popped open, rather than being cut that way on purpose.

J.Lo in Charbel Zoe

She had just officially divorced Marc Anthony, but they filed in 2012. It took them more than two years to hammer that out! Yikes. What legal fees. She was well into dating Casper Smart at this point, and this is all very Standard Regular J.Lo stuff.

Sarah had just gotten a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. She is three years away from meeting her husband Wells Adams at this point. I wonder how she'd have reacted if I popped up from the future and said, "Don't worry, Sarah, you will meet a very cute boy and become part of a Trashy Reality Dating Show Host power couple." I know Wells doesn't host Bachelor in Paradise, but a) he should, and b) he's the bartender and therefore very present.

Louis Vuitton's been doing her dirty for a long time now! This feels very Glam Grandmother to me. Glamma, as they say.

This is SO sedate for Nicki! In a good way.

She changed into this during the show, and I also love it. A successful night for her.
