They’re arranged in a constellation that you’d see if you looked up at the night sky in the Great Plains, Ms. Hearst said. Ms. Gladstone felt as if she was 'draped in my ancestors,' she said. 'We say we come from the stars.'" That is a BEAUTIFUL sentiment and I love the idea here. Vogue went deeper and talked to Kiowa artist Keri Ataumbi as well; [their piece is very interesting](https://www.vogue.com/article/the-poignant-backstory-behind-lily-gladstones-2024-met-gala-dress?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). John Ystumllyn was one of the UK's first Black gardeners; a rose was named after him in 2021\. (This was the first rose named after a person of color in the UK, which seems...very late indeed.)
